This entry-level Rioja from uber-cool Spanish winemaker Telmo Rodriguez is bursting with expressive spices, blue and red florals and all the herbs that are growing wild in the vineyard. It’s mainly Tempranillo with a splash of Graciano and Garnacha that is fermented and matured in cement and stainless steel. So it’s pure unadulterated fruit, gluggable and delicious. Drink it all summer long around the BBQ – a slight chill is good in hot weather. When it was available in the tapas bars of Rioja, it was easily the best go to wine. – Ian Cook, FWC.
