BEST VALUE CHIANTI - Bring on the spaghetti bolognese.
Dusty, dry and very old-world in style – this wine really sings true to all things Tuscan. Pencil shavings and dried herbs dominate the aromatic profile whilst the palate is savoury and dark with hints of black cherry and dried soil. There is a softness to the mid-palate and just enough fruit sweetness to balance the secondary characteristics of herb and earth. Very elegant and silky smooth as all good sangiovese should be, this wine is a perfect mi-week drink and very hard to go past for the money. FWC
