The 2015 vintage in Tuscany has been hyped up beyond belief. So far it seems justified, particularly in the case of Felsina. Pretty simple handling in the winery – fruit is sent to three & four year old barriques and left to do its thing. Very aromatically lifted/perfumed (surprisingly so) – pressed flowers, dried herbs, and light spice swirl around a core of red and black sweet and sour cherry. There is a fair bit going on; freshness, elegance and intensity perfectly aligned. Delicious now but would love to open a bottle in 5 to 10 years. - Ian Cook, FWC.
