Note: this cuvée is mostly from La Charmotte and Au Chouillet, with bits and pieces from Aux Saints Jacques, Les Charmois, Les Maladières, Les Chaliots and Les Brûlées plus a few others too small to mention
Tasting note: Once again reduction renders the nose impossible to assess but there is good freshness and verve to the solidly dense middle weight flavors that possess a relatively fine mouth feel that is enhanced by the finer-grained tannins. As the description suggests this is much less rustic than usual though not as fine as most of the following 1ers. Score: 87-89. Drink: 2019+. Allen Meadows, Burghound.
