Christian Moreau Chablis 1er Cru Vaillon 'Cuvée Guy Moreau' Chablis 2023

From vines planted in 1933. 70% vinified in tank and 30% in oak, less than 2% new).
(from vines planted in 1933 in Vaillons proper). Here too a whiff of the exotic can be found on the slightly riper aromas of pear, apple and citrus confit plus just enough Chablis typicity to be interesting. As is usually the case, the old vines are in evidence on the middle weight plus flavors thanks to the abundance of sappy dry extract that coats the palate on the seductively textured finish.
