Semillon on skins for a year?! You’d expect quite a confronting and challenging wine but the balance here is immaculate once again. Waxy lemon and lightly overripe citrus, orange rind, red apple skin, dried flowers & musk stick are all there. The brightness and freshness on display from a wine that has been coaxed into bottle over the course of two and a half years is remarkable. This is ready to go now with its gentle acid and a breezy loose knit feel to the powdery/talcy tannins. FWC.
